About Me
Marcy Montemayor is an interdisciplinary visual artist working at the intersection of photography, digital manipulation, and 3D imaging. Her work explores the interplay between fantasy, commercial aesthetics, and contemporary fashion, crafting immersive visual narratives that blur the line between reality and imagination.
Montemayor’s journey as an image-maker began early and has been shaped by a range of experiences, including studio assisting, client commissions, and formal education. She recently earned a Master’s in Digital Photography from New York City’s prestigious School of Visual Arts, and also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Her newest project, Mythoscape, uses virtual reality and 3D imaging to visualize the appearance of the future. This work will be exhibited at New York’s SVA Gramercy Gallery fall 2025.
